It’s that time of year when the loss of loved ones hits the hardest.

However, applications are open now for the third annual Remembrance Trees in the Park.

Those interested can sponsor and decorate a tree in Besse Park in honor of a loved one for $75.

The 5 to 6 foot pre-lit trees will be illuminated every night of December.

Checks need to be payable to the Town of Wareham, and all sponsorships must be paid for in advance for trees to be reserved.

The Onset Bay Association will also have trees on Onset Pier.
