Hop into the past
Grab those dancing shoes and turn back the clock to support the Wareham Council on Aging at the 50’s Sock Hop Dance.
Local band Daddy O! will be performing the hits of the 50’s and there will be prizes for the best costumes and a 50/50 raffle. There will be passed and stationery hours d’Oeuvres.
The dance will be held at Salerno’s at 196, Onset Avenue in Onset Saturday, Oct. 19 from 5 to 10 p.m. There will be a cover of $25 and all proceeds go towards benefiting the Wareham Council on Aging.

Spooky celebration
Gather at the Onset VFW for a Halloween Bash raising money to support the Jimmy Fund and local families battling cancer.
The VFW is located at 4 Gibbs Ball Park Road and the event will take place Saturday, Oct. 19 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and will feature music from DJ Ronnie, raffles and a costume contest.
Tickets are $20 each and money raised will go towards supporting the Jimmy Fund and local families battling cancer. Admission is free for kids.
