Sweets down Main Street
Local businesses on Main Street will turn sweet this Halloween.
Trick or Treat on Main Street returns from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31 hosted by the Wareham Village Association.
Participating businesses will have an orange or black balloon in their storefront and many will be decked out in Halloween decorations.
Saturday, Nov. 1
5k in the bogs
Don't let the colder weather bog down the urge to run.
A.D. Makepeace at 3 Farm To Market Road will be hosting its 13th annual Grumpy's 5K walk and run through the cranberry bogs Saturday, Nov. 1 at 9 a.m.
The race is named for Robert "Grumpy" Conway, a longtime A.D. Makepeace Company employee and nature-lover who passed away in 2010. A special display of his nature-inspired photography will be available for viewing during the post-race festivities.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Cranberry Educational Foundation's Scholarship Fund. Those interested in joining can register the day of the race.

'Tis the season
A well flavored meal is never out of season.
Therapy Gardens will be taking over the the Wareham Free Library at 59 Marion Road Thursday, Nov. 6 at 6:30 p.m. to help guests make their own festive seasonings.
