Are you a vampire, werewolf or witch?
The Wareham Free Library at 59 Marion Road will be transformed into a spooky escape room for 11 to 18-year-olds Friday, Oct. 24 from 6 to 7 p.m. Be the first to finish your clan totem by solving tasks and playing games to earn doubloons.
The program will be preceded with a pizza party. Participants are encouraged to dress up and should be prepared to work with a wide age range.
Pork-a-licious
Pork is on the menu at Trinity Christian Church during their community dinner Friday, Oct. 24.
The church will serve roasted pork, roasted red bliss potatoes, gravy, mixed vegetables, applesauce, bread, assorted desserts and a beverage. The church is located at 462 Main Street and dinner will be served from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Cost is $15 for adults and $7 for kids. The Mission Thrift Shop will be open during the dinner.
Saturday, Oct. 25
A big oar-deal
Hop in the water and look at leaves. Join the Wareham Land Trust for a paddle through the Agawam River to take in the fall foliage from the water.
Scott Mueller will lead the charge Saturday, Oct. 25 from 10 a.m. to noon.
Participants should bring their own kayak or canoe, paddle and life jacket to Whitlock's Landing at 150 Glen Charlie Road and dress for the weather. Register at warehamlandtrust.org, space is limited.
Ghouls just wanna have fun
Get fab-boo-lusly dressed up and get candy.
Come dressed in costume for the Gleason Family YMCA's annual Halloween trunk or treat, Saturday, Oct. 25 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m at 30 Charge Pond Road. Kids can get treats, candy and have fun.
Free for all to attend but a food donation of the following items for Thanksgiving would be appreciated: gravy packets, canned veggies, cranberry sauce, boxed stuffing, boxed mac n cheese, corn bread or brownie mixes.

Canoe belive it?
Row, row, row the boat in Onset Bay during the Buzzards Bay Rowing Club’s annual Onset Rowing Challenge Saturday, Oct. 25.
The challenge will be held at Onset Beach, 186 Onset Avenue and the 3-mile row will take participants out and around Wickets Island. Registration will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. that Saturday, race briefing will be at 11 and the race will begin at 11:30 a.m.
Cost is $40 per person if payment is sent before Oct. 4 and $45 per person if sent after Oct. 4. See page 13 for more.
Raising spirits and funds
A scary-good time for a scary-good cause.
The Onset VFW at 4 Gibbs Ball Park Road is hosting its sixth annual family friendly cancer fundraiser Saturday, Oct. 25 from 6 to 9:30 p.m. to raise money for the Jimmy Fund, Fairhaven Cancer Center and local families battling cancer. Kids enter for free, tickets are $20.

Its a shore thing
Onset Bay is about to look a little spooky.
The Onset Bay Center will be hosting its third annual free Halloween Paddle Parade Sunday, Oct. 26 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants can dress up in spooky or creative costumes and paddle around Wickets Island, guided by Onset Bay Center staff.
