Walk and talk.

The Wareham Land Trust is offering a peaceful alternative to Black Friday shopping with its Green Friday Walk and Talk. Meet other nature lovers and enjoy the outdoors during this 1.5-mile walk through the Great Neck Conservation Area, 34 Crooked River Rd., from 1 to 2:30 p.m. This event is free, but registration is requested at www.warehamlandtrust.org.

Attend an awards dinner.

The Wareham High School Athletic Hall of Fame has announced its inductees for 2019. The Hall of Fame awards dinner will be held at 6 p.m. at the Rosebrook Convention Center, 50 Rosebrook Pl., Wareham. Tickets are for sale at Wareham High School for $50.

Sunday, December 1

Enjoy a family dinner.

The First Congregational Church of Wareham will host a free dinner for families with children from 5 to 7 p.m. at 11 Gibbs Ave.

All are invited to the dinner, which will be followed by a Christmas story, crafts, and caroling, all led by Kristin Putney, the faith formation program director of Saugus’ United Church of Christ.
