There’s always something to do in Wareham. This weekend, start your Saturday with Grumpy’s Cranberry Harvest 5K and unwind with an evening of live blues at the Dudley Brown VFW.

Friday, Nov. 3

Meet your meat
Redmen Hall, 745 Main Street, will host its monthly meat raffle at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and a meal will be served at 6:30 p.m. at a cost of $8 per person.

Saturday, Nov. 4

A cranberry 5K

The annual Grumpy’s Cranberry Harvest 5K will start at 9 a.m. at A.D. Makepeace’s headquarters at 150 Tihonet Road.
Participants may competitively run the course, take a leisurely walk or anything in between. Cranberry-themed awards will be given to first-, second- and third-place winners, male and female, in each age category.

The blues come to Onset
Head to Onset for live blues performances, including special guest Willie J. Laws.
The concert will take place from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Dudley Brown VFW, located at 4 Gibbs Ball Park Road. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.

Tuesday, Nov. 7

A fabulous fall
The Spinney Memorial Library, 259 Onset Avenue, Onset, will host a program for children from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Children will explore natural science and math concepts using pumpkins, seeds and leaves. Mary Wilson, the educator behind Pitter Patter Puppets, will present the program.
