Stephen F. Hodge, 49, of Westport, formerly of Wareham, died January 1, 2020 in Tobey Hospital.  He was the son of Dorothy A. (Spike) Hodge and the late William T. Hodge, Sr.

He was born in Wareham and lived there all of his life until moving to Westport recently.  He graduated from Wareham High School in 1990 and attended Cape Cod Community College.

Mr. Hodge worked as a dispatcher and volunteer firefighter for the Onset Fire Department.

He enjoyed fishing and boating. 

Survivors include his mother, Dorothy A. (Spike) Hodge of Onset; his brother, William T. Hodge, Jr. of Bradenton, FL; 3 sisters, Dorothy Pipher of Wareham, Patricia Neal of Onset and Karen Rathbun of Quincy; several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Michael Pipher.

His funeral will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Onset. Burial will follow in Long Neck Cemetery, Onset.

Visiting hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
