Standout February students of Wareham Middle School
February was full of snow and star students as Wareham Middle School recognizes three students of the month.
Fifth grader Kemper Merrick is a role model for students in her grade, according to her teachers. Her kindness, hard work and respect were what made her a standout student for February.
"Kemper is the kind of student every teacher hopes to have in their classroom. She exemplifies
the core values of Wareham Middle School by consistently demonstrating responsibility, thoughtfulness, and respect. Each morning, she arrives with a positive attitude and a warm smile, ready to give her best effort in all that she does," a teacher wrote.
Grady Lemieux is the student of the month for sixth grade. Grady's creativity, focus and willingness to try new things were highlighted during February.
"Grady is a hardworking student. He strives to understand content and achieve success every day. Grady doesn't settle; he doesn't hesitate to ask questions or to put in the extra work to make sure he is getting the most out of his education," an educator wrote. "He is an active participant in his learning. He is regularly observed helping peers, saying thank you, and doing whatever it takes to make sure others feel part of the classroom community and discussions.”
For seventh grade, Brayden O’Brien achieved student of the month. Warmth, kind and friendly are words used to describe Brayden by his teachers.
“Brayden loves learning new things. He asks for help when needed and never gives up. He often offers help to his peers when they are struggling. Brayden is kind to his teachers and peers and he is very well liked by everyone. Brayden is very soft spoken and would be an even bigger rockstar if more people heard his voice,” a teacher said.
