Robert J. Krystofolski, Sr., 81, of West Wareham, died Thursday, April 29, 2021 at his home after a long battle with cancer. He was the husband of Rosemary (DeMar) Krystofolski.

Born in Wareham-(Tihonet), he was the son of the late Alcina (Tosi) and John Krystofolski and graduated from Wareham High School. Bob was a career self-employed painter. He also worked as a caretaker for many homes and families in the area. Bob was welcomed as part of their own family and participated in many weddings and graduation gatherings.

Bob loved fishing, hunting, his vegetable garden, and walking down along the canal with Rosemary. He was a long-time member of Wankinquoah Rod & Gun Club and served as past-president and board member. Bob was the regional coordinator for Mass. Hunter Education Program and taught hunter safety and LTC firearms courses.

Bob was a long-time communicant of St. Patrick’s Church in Wareham. He enjoyed watching golf and following games of his New York Yankees, while Rosemary rooted for her favorite team, the beloved Boston Red Sox.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rosemary; his sons, John Krystofolski and his wife Pamela and Robert Krystofolski, Jr. and his wife Joyce all of West Wareham; his grandchildren, J.T., Kevin and Allison Krystofolski; many nieces and nephews; and his grand-dogs, Trixie and Cooper. He was predeceased by his sister, the late Helen Simpson.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham from 4 – 7 PM. Appropriate COVID-19 protocol will be observed including the use of face masks, social distancing and wait times in line due to temporary limited capacity. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 7, 2021 at St. Patrick’s Church, High St., Wareham at 10 AM. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Wareham.
