WAREHAM – Rhonda L. (Robbins) Gay, 62, of Wareham, passed away on August 14, 2023 at Tobey Hospital. She was the wife of William F. Gay, III. They were married for 41 years. She was the daughter of the late Floyd and Mildred (Franklin) Robbins.

She was born in Wareham and lived there all of her life. She graduated from Wareham High School, class of 1979.

Mrs. Gay was a Fire Fighter for the Onset Fire Dept. for 10 years.

She enjoyed making diamond art, writing, playing video games and was a tennis pro while in high school.

Survivors include 2 sons, William F. Gay, IV of Buzzards Bay and John Robbins of Onset; a daughter, Mindy A. Gay of Onset; 9 grandchildren, William F. Gay, V, Liam and Aubrey Gay, Christiana, Adrien, and Lexi Robbins; Jaren, Jaydyn and Brooklyn; a sister, Tammy Robbins of Onset; an aunt, Elizabeth Murdock of Onset; 3 nieces, Kelly Robbins of Madison, ME, Kristie and Jessica Demoranville of Onset; a nephew, Nick Testone of Onset. She was the sister of the late Alan Robbins and Floyd Robbins.

Visiting hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 25, 2023 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – WAREHAM, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Center Cemetery.
