The Zoning Board of Appeals approved plans for a new car wash on Cranberry Highway at the board’s Nov. 10 meeting.

Reign Car Wash will be located at 3005 and 3013 Cranberry Highway, where the former 99 Restaurant is located.

Board members had expressed concerns that the planned Reign Car Wash was too flashy and could distract drivers. Other concerns included the drainage from the site, access from the rear parking lot (owned by Ocean State Job Lot), and the proposed landscaping.

The applicant had by Nov. 10 responded to all of the board’s stated concerns, and after some back and forth, the application was approved.
