Patricia J. Grenda, 84, of Wareham, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at her home at All-American Assisted Living at Wareham. She was the daughter of the late John B. and Marion J. (Fraser) Grenda.

Patricia was a lifelong resident of Wareham, attending Wareham Public Schools before graduating from Wareham High School in 1958. She continued her education at Kinyon-Campbell Business School and built a career in the banking industry before later working at Memorial Press Co. and as a Food Service Administrative Assistant at Massachusetts Maritime Academy. 

A devout communicant of Saint Patrick’s Church and past President of the Saint Vincent De Paul Society. Patricia lived a life of faith, family, and generosity. In fact, one of her proudest achievements was following in her Father’s footsteps as a recipient of the Marian Medal, awarded by the “Bishop” to parishioners who’ve exemplified dedicated service to the Church. Though she never married, she dedicated herself to the many children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of her siblings, Helene and John. She took great joy in planning trips for them and was always a source of love and guidance. She was also known for her kindness and nurturing spirit, earning her the affectionate title of "Auntie Pat" from many, even beyond her immediate family.

Patricia had a love for adventure, whether traveling to Panama with the cadets from Massachusetts Maritime Academy, enjoying summer camping trips, or snowmobiling in the winter. She was an avid reader, a talented knitter, and found joy in simple moments spent with loved ones.

In addition to her family, Patricia was blessed with the unwavering friendship and support of Sue, her former sister-in-law, who remained a cherished part of her life throughout the years. Their bond was a testament to the deep connections Patricia fostered, built on love, respect, and shared family ties.

She is survived by her sister, Helene K. Alden of Buzzards Bay, and her late husband, Frederick; and her brother, John F. Grenda, and his wife, Nancy, of Pocasset; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday March 26, at 11 am in Saint Patrick’s Church 94 High St. Wareham. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Visiting hours have been omitted. Please arrive at church by 10:45 am. Interment will follow in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery.
