Opening for Warren's Harborview nears
The Harborview Restaurant and Marina received an occupancy permit from the town’s building department that will allow it to host a grand opening with a tentative opening date at the end of October.
Once open Harborview owner Danny Warren is looking to celebrate the town and his project with an Oktoberfest party.
"They'll see all kinds of outdoor food, music and the restaurant will be open," said Warren.
This project has been years in the making for Warren and it has taken a lot of hard work to get to this point, he said.
"It feels wonderful, this is a lifelong dream," said Warren. "I've wanted this property for 25 years. I watched it keep going deeper and deeper into the hole for 25 years before I could afford to buy it and luckily it waited for me."
Warren said even though the tentative opening date is for the end of October, the retirement party for former Select Board member Alan Slavin will be happening on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
Tickets will be available for purchase at the door and Warren welcomes anyone who is interested in attending.
Once the business is operational, Warren hopes to host small weddings and vow renewal ceremonies as well.
The Harborview project first broke ground at its 59 Main Street location in March 2022 and despite facing setbacks along the way, Warren said he is looking forward to sharing his project with the community at the end of October
