Nancy J. Joseph, 60

Apr 7, 2021

Nancy J. Joseph, 60, of Wareham, MA died April 4, 2021 in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Ms. Joseph, the daughter of the late Ernest J. Joseph and Marlene P. Joseph, born in Jamaica Plain, MA, was raised in Brockton, MA, and eventually settled in Wareham in 1984 where she resided for the remainder of her life.  After graduating from Brockton H.S. in 1978, she was a Veterinary Assistant at an animal hospital in Bridgewater.  She then started her banking career as a clerical worker at a Brockton bank, and then transitioned into Mortgage Underwriting, and ultimately was VP of Residential Mortgages at Pilgrim Bank, now Abington Bank.

Nancy was a loving daughter, and after her father passed in 1978, she remained very close and had an incredibly loving relationship with her dear mother, who lived just minutes away.  Although Nancy had no children, she absolutely adored her niece and nephews as if they were her own.  Nancy was also “Mama” to the many pets she had throughout her life.  In 1999, she met her soul mate - Joe, and they spent the next 22 years together, enjoying their passion for food, cooking, and the simple pleasures of life.  Nancy enjoyed spending her free time outdoors, whether at the beach, in her yard planting and gardening, playing with the dogs, feeding the birds and squirrels, or kayaking out to her little island to take in some sun.

Nancy is survived by her partner- Joe, her two brothers, Ernest Joseph and his wife Joyce of Boston, Scott Joseph and his wife Danielle of Upton, her sister-in-law Sharon, her niece- Brittany and three nephews- Christopher, Benjamin and Ayden Joseph.  Nancy’s beautiful smile, humor, kind heartedness and loving spirit, will forever live within the hearts of her family and loved ones.

No services will take place following Nancy's request.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
