Starting on Nov. 12, middle school students began bringing in non-perishable food and toiletries to their homeroom classes, competing to see which class could collect the most items.
The end result was 1,541 items collected and victory by Ms. Eggers homeroom. Her class wins the prize of a Dunkin' Donuts breakfast upon their return from Thanksgiving break.
