Margaret Eileen Kippenberger, 70

WAREHAM – Margaret Eileen Kippenberger, 70, of Wareham, formerly of Franklin died Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at her home, per her wishes, with her immediate loved ones by her side. She was the wife of Paul Kippenberger, Sr. Margaret and Paul enjoyed spending time together kayaking in the bay, vacations to Aruba and NH, and scenic rides that always included photo shoots of the places they visited. They were looking forward to celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in September.

Margaret was a customer service representative for First Citizens Federal Credit Union in Wareham for 10 years. She retired in 2017. Margaret was not one to sit around, after her retirement, she worked part-time for The Old Company Store and Emporium in Buzzards Bay. Margaret found happiness helping customers find unique pieces to cherish for their homes.

Margaret was an amazing baker and cook. She always had fresh cookies and cakes ready to serve her grandkids and guests. Her first love was her family, followed by hummingbirds, flowers, photography, and nature. Attending her grandchildren’s school/sporting events always made her “heart happy”.
She is survived by her husband, Paul, Sr. of Wareham; her son, Paul Kippenberger, Jr. of Marion; her daughter, Hillary Varden of E. Wareham and her husband William; her brothers and sisters, Kevin Grant of Dennis, William Grant, Jr. and Kathleen Grant both of Harwich, Maureen Feeley of S. Kingston, RI, and Mary Grant of Holliston; her grandchildren, Paul Kippenberger, III, Anna Kippenberger, James Kippenberger, Savannah Varden and John Varden, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, the late Michael Grant.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at St. Patrick's Church, 94 High St., Wareham at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be private.
