Margaret (Barboza) Pina, 78, of Wareham, died March 1, 2022 at Royal Cape Cod Nursing and Rehab. Center, Buzzards Bay with her loving son by her side.

She was the daughter of the late Louis and Emily (Santos) Barboza. She was born in Boston and lived in Falmouth before moving to Wareham. She graduated from Lawrence High School in Falmouth.

Mrs. Pina worked for the Commonwealth of Mass Highway Department for several years before retiring.

She enjoyed reading and spending time at the beach.

Survivors include her son, Brian A. Newcomb of Sandwich; a sister, Mae Fontes of Taunton; 2 grandchildren, Brianne Newcomb and Cameron Newcomb both of Mattapoisett.

Visiting hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
