Learn to skate or play hockey

Gateway Youth Hockey will teach kids to skate or to play hockey. 

Both classes are ten week sessions held on Friday nights from 6 to 7 p.m. at Tabor Academy, 232 Front St., Marion. The courses will begin on August 30 and run through November 8. 

Both classes are open to children ages three and up, and cost $180.

Children participating in Learn to Skate will need a helmet with face cage, gloves or mittens, and single blade skates. Knee and elbow pads are recommended. 

Children learning to play hockey will need a hockey helmet with a face cage, hockey gloves, hockey elbow pads, hockey shin pads, a hockey chest protector, neck guard, hockey pants, hockey skates, and a hockey stick.
