Lauretta M. Reynolds, 92, of Plymouth, died Friday, September 6, at Wareham Healthcare Center. She was the wife of the late Morris L. Reynolds.

Born in Providence, RI, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Louise (Dunleavy) Casperson. Mrs. Reynolds was head cook at Barnstable County Hospital for many years. She was also a waitress at Lindsey’s Restaurant in Wareham for many years.

Mrs. Reynolds was a member of the Dudley Brown V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, the American Legion Post #220 Ladies Auxiliary, and the Mass. Retirees Association. She enjoyed knitting, reading the newspaper, cooking, traveling, eating out, and her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Muriel “Bunny” Bowen of Falmouth, Margaret “Peggy” Kelley and her husband Michael of Norman, OK, Gail Perry and her husband Albert of Lakeville, and Laura Gomes-Jacobs and her husband Fran of Plymouth. Also surviving are many grandchildren and great grandchildren and her daughters in-law, Diane Chappell of Rumford, RI and Barbara Diagle of Weymouth. She was predeceased by her sons, the late Dennis Chappell, and Allen Reynolds.

Her funeral will be from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham on Wed., Sept. 11, 2019 at 10 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret’s Church, Main St., Buzzards Bay at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 4 - 7 PM.
