Kayak Broad Cove on Aug. 29

Kayak the cove – Broad Cove, that is – and more with the Wareham Land Trust on Saturday, Aug. 29 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. 

The organization is hosting its second Spring into Summer Kayaking event. Kayakers will be led on a trip by volunteer Scott Mueller. They will launch from Riverside Beach and paddle into Onset Bay by Wickets Island and Onset Island.

Organizers ask participants to bring their own kayak or canoe, along with a paddle and a life jacket. They also recommend that people bring water and snacks and dress according to the weather.

Kayakers will meet at Riverside Beach, 0 Riverside Dr., East Wareham.

The event will be cancelled if there is inclement weather.
