John W. Cashman, Jr.
WAREHAM- John W. Cashman, Jr., CPA (“Jack”) of Wareham, MA, formally of Northborough, MA and Natick, MA, passed away on October 6, 2025.
He is survived by his loving wife Cheryl, former wife Georgia, his two daughters Rachael and Monica and her husband Chris; stepson Joel and his wife Tina; stepdaughter Lisa and her husband Brian; his grandchildren Brooke, Grayson, Nora, Nicholas, Hayden, Andrew, and Dylan; brothers Kevin and Dennis; and sister Noreen. He was predeceased by his brother Paul. He also leaves his best friend Gus.
Jack was born in Worcester, MA to John and Corrine and moved to Northborough in 1960. He attended Algonquin Regional High School and graduated in 1974. He graduated from Worcester Junior College in 1976 and then Bentley College in 1978. As a CPA, he worked for many years at Gray Gray & Gray LLP in Canton, MA.
Jack loved the outdoors, especially the White Mountains in New Hampshire and the Brooks Mountain Range in Alaska. He loved bringing donuts (Irish bagels) to his grandchildren and making them fried dough. Jack loved animals, especially horses, cows, and dogs. Jack loved all kinds of music- anything from Christian to hard rock and country. He had a great sense of humor and the best sound he ever heard was a child’s laughter. “Live your life with no regrets.”
Visiting hours will be held from 9:00am to 10:30am on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at The Church in the Pines, 17 Carver Rd. W. Wareham, followed by a memorial service at 10:30am at the church.
In lieu of flowers (since Jack says he cannot smell them now), donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
