Household hazardous waste collection day
The Town of Wareham will hold a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Municipal Maintenance facility, 95 Charge Pond Road.
The collection event is open to residents with a valid 2026 Wareham Transfer Station or Carver Transfer Station sticker.
Accepted items include household chemicals, motor oil with a 20-gallon limit, mercury-containing items such as thermostats, propane, gasoline, antifreeze, fertilizers, batteries, fire extinguishers, paints, solvents and bulbs.
Electronics accepted at the event include televisions, monitors and CPUs.
Items not accepted include asbestos, radioactive materials, explosives, flares, ammunition, mattresses, tires, medical waste, microwaves, air conditioners and refrigerators. Syringes and other sharps will also not be accepted.
Residents must remain in their vehicles during the event, and all containers brought to the site must be left there.
