A free throw contest will be held for children on Friday, Nov. 17. 

The contest is open to boys and girls ages 8 to 13. Registration will take place from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. and the shootout will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. 

It will take place at the Gleason Family YMCA, 33 Charge Pond Road. It is held by the Elks National Foundation.
