Get on the water in your spookiest costume with your friends and the Onset Bay Center as they host their 3rd annual Halloween Paddle Parade.

The Onset Bay Center staff will guide paddling participants around Wickets Island as they launch from the Onset Bay Center at 186 Onset Avenue, Sunday, Oct. 27 at 3 p.m.

The event schedule is as follows:

• 3:00 pm - Check in
• 3:30 PM - Paddle craft ready on the beach & safety brief. Launch from Onset Beach and circumnavigate Wickets Island led by Onset Bay Center Staff.
• 4:30 PM - All crafts back on beach & put away
• 4:30 pm: All crafts back on the beach and put all boats away.

Participants are welcome to bring their own kayak, paddleboard or other craft or use Onset Bay Center equipment.

For singles, the Onset Bay Center recommends a single paddleboard or a single sit on top kayak. For groups or families, the center recommends a double kayak (two or three people), canoe (maximum three people) or a giant paddleboard (up to 10 people). The single sit on top kayak will also work for one adult and one child. 

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times and the Onset Bay Center asks participants to make sure all costumes are safe and appropriate.

Life jackets will be available and must be worn at all times while participants are on the water.

Spectators are welcome to watch from the bay or pier.

Space is limited for this free event and registration is required for all participants. Onset Bay Center equipment can be reserved at registration.
