Guided hike around Fearing Hill Aug. 22

The Wareham Land Trust will lead a guided hike around the Douglas S. Westgate and Fearing Hill Conservation Areas on Saturday, Aug. 22 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. The hike is a celebration of the Wareham Land Trust’s 25th anniversary.

The hike will start at the Douglas S. Westgate parking lot at 29 Papermill Road, West Wareham. 

The 2.1-mile-long walk will be led by Wareham Land Trust board member Kathy Pappalardo. The path will take hikers near the Wewantic River and across the conservation areas. 

Following the hike, participants will get a cup of lemonade and desserts provided by organizers.

Organizers ask that hikers wear proper footwear for hiking, dress for the weather, and apply sunscreen and bug spray for the hike.
