The Wareham Gatemen are looking to reclaim a winning streak after the baseball team tied at home with the last-placed Chatham Anglers on Tuesday night.

The Gatemen posted a 11-12-4 record as of print deadline, with another game against the Cotuit Kettlers scheduled for 6 p.m. at Spillane Field on Wednesday evening. The Gatemen game against the Chatham Anglers on Tuesday night ended in a 5-5 tie, when the game abruptly ended after five innings due to a lighting safety hazard, according to the Gatemen website.

Earlier this season, the Gatemen were running a three-game winning streak before being defeated 4-2 by the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox at home on July 9.

The team has more than a dozen games left before the end of the season. As of Wednesday, the Gatemen were fourth in the West Division of the Cape Cod Baseball League. The Cotuit Kettlers were the top-ranked team, with a season score of 14-8-5.
