Frederick C. “Fred” Browne, II, 58, of Onset, formerly of Walpole and Marion, died suddenly of an aneurysm on Oct. 30.

Fred was born in Norwood. He was the son of the late Hugh W. Browne and the late Muriel (Layton) Browne. Fred was the youngest of 8 children. He attended Walpole Schools and graduated from Tri County High school in Franklin.

Fred is survived by Kathy Lewis Browne and their son, Sam, of Onset. He was the brother of William Hugh Browne of West Wareham, Thomas F. Browne of Walpole, Linda M. Browne of Wareham, Alan J. Browne of Boston, Dianne C. Bamber of Chatham, Melanie Browne Klein of West Wareham and Pamela A. Bulis of Wareham; his stepson, Isaiah Stevens of Fairhaven; his grandchildren, Wyatt and Esme; many nephews and nieces.

He loved his family and friends. He had many interest and hobbies. He was a history buff and he enjoyed working on his properties.

Visiting hours will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway. A reception will follow in West Wareham.
