Foster parents needed in Wareham

Dec 10, 2019

The Department of Children and Families is seeking foster parents in Wareham.

Donna White, an outreach representative from the agency, said she has been fostering children for 15 years, and it has been “very rewarding.”

White encouraged anyone with “room in their hearts and in their homes to help a child” to consider applying.

Foster parents provide a safe home to the child during a time of need, with average stays lasting between three and 18 months.

White said the need for foster parents is especially high in Wareham, as the agency tries to keep children in their own town whenever possible.
