Several Wareham Fire Department officials extinguished a fire underneath a dumpster at Red Robin Monday afternoon, the department said in a Facebook post later that night.

“Firefighters had to move the dumpster to access burning materials under it,” the post reads. “A backhoe from the Wareham Fire District office operated by Mechanic/Firefighter Greg Barrett was brought in to move the dumpster. Once it was moved the remaining fire was extinguished.”

Firefighters came to the Red Robin, located in the Wareham Crossing shopping plaza off Cranberry Highway, at 12:40 p.m. on Monday.

The fire did not cause any injuries, the department said.
