WAREHAM – Dennis L. Mattos, 102, of Wareham, passed away on March 1, 2025, at home. He was the husband of the late Eugenia “Jean” DaGraca (Grace) Mattos and the son of the late John and Louise (Vincent) Mattos.

He was born in Wareham and lived there all his life. He was an Army Veteran of World War II.

Mr. Mattos worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator at Otis Air Force Base for many years before retiring.

He enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include his daughter, Heidi E. Mattos of Wareham; a granddaughter, Kendall E. A. Silverstein and her husband, Joseph of Silver Spring, MD; 3 great grandchildren, Ariana Nicole Mattos, Ethan and Amara Silverstein.

He was the grandfather of the late Adam Peter Mattos and brother of the late Joseph Mattos, John Mattos, Joaquina Lombard, Agnes Barboza, Mena Nunes, Napoleon Mattos, Benjamin Mattos and Jack Mattos.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 14, 2025, at St. Patrick’s Church, 94 High St., Wareham. Burial will be private.
