Deborah Ruth (Watson) Hoffman, 63, of Wareham, formerly of Clinton, passed away peacefully at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford on Tuesday, December 8, 2020. She is reunited with her son, John R. Kierstead, whom she loved more than life itself. She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, David A. Hoffman; her brother William E. Watson, Jr. of Clinton; nephews: Jason Watson & wife Nicole of Holden; and Craig Watson & wife Liz of Rutland; aunts and uncles: Ralph Fateiger & Juanita of Bolton; Betty Andrews & John of Berlin; generations of cousins, extended family and friends.
Born and raised in Clinton, Deborah was the daughter of the late Ruth (Fateiger) and William E. Watson. She attended local schools and was a graduate of the Clinton High School, Class of 1975. Deb worked for nearly twenty years as a unit secretary for ambulatory care and day surgery at the Clinton Hospital, where she was adored by her co-workers and patients alike. She was a woman of great faith and devout member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Acton. Deb held membership and remained actively involved with the Elks Foundation and was a supporter of animal protection and the ASPCA. She was a life-long fan of all Boston sports teams and never missed a Sunday to cheer for her Patriots. Blessed with a quick wit, Deb loved to laugh and was happiest while entertaining family and friends. Calling hours will be held from 5 until 8PM on Friday, December 18, 2020 in the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton. A private Funeral Service and burial will be held at Reservoir Pines Cemetery.
