Council on Aging provides updated list of food pantries

Damien’s Pantry will be open on Thursdays and Saturdays from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at 3065 Cranberry Highway beginning on May 14. Clients should bring a current Damien’s card or a photo ID if they are new to the pantry. Call 508-295-3486.

The Onset Foursquare Church, 301 Onset Ave., is offering a hot meal and food pantry on Tuesday nights from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Those getting food are asked to stay in their car and pull up to the door with the ramp. Call 508-291-1595.

The Church of the Good Shepherd, located at 74 High Street, serves hot take-out meals every Thursday from 4 to 5 p.m. The church’s pantry is open on the first Tuesday of each month from 3 to 5 p.m. Call 508-295-2840 for more information.

The St. Margaret’s Friary Pantry is open from 10 a.m. to noon each Wednesday at the St. Vincent DePaul Thrift Shop, 134 Main St., Buzzards Bay. The pantry can be reached by calling 508-759-7777.

Shane’s Pantry, located at 128 Main St. in Carver, is open on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Wednesdays from 3 to 5 p.m. (includes Veteran’s Pantry); and from 8 a.m. to noon on Fridays. Call 508-866-7673.

Those with special dietary needs or who have difficulty accessing the pantries are asked to call the Council on Aging at 508-291-3100, ext. 3133.
