Wareham’s Color Guard team brought a unique, darker energy to a New England Scholastic Band Association competition at Dartmouth High School on Saturday.

The team’s show, inspired by “American Horror Story: Asylum,” featured the team in straight-jacket inspired costumes performing to music from the show’s soundtrack.

Briana Morin, the Color Guard’s director, said that she and the other coaches were inspired to tackle a show that was dramatically different from the pretty, flow-y shows that most teams do.

The guard came in third in its class, Guard Scholastic Class AA, with a score of 69.29.
