Clean Water Challenge after-school program
Middle and high school students are invited to join the Wareham Land Trust to learn about the water crisis and the lack of clean, fresh water in Haiti while identifying the contaminants responsible for polluting Haitian water sources. Then, students will get into teams to build a water filter that can remove pollutants to provide clean drinking water. Final projects will presented at the Earth Day Festival at the Boys and Girls Club on April 11.
The group will meet every Monday in the Activities Room at the Wareham Free Library from 4 to 6 p.m. starting on Feb. 24.
