Get into the holiday spirit with a live recounting of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol," at the Wareham Free Library Wednesday, Dec. 18.

The recounting will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the event will be a "radio" version of the story by the Watermelon Alligator Theatre Company. The performers will recite the story as voice actors portraying each character with accompanying music and live sound effects.

The event is free and does not require registration. The performance is sponsored by the Friends of the Wareham Free Library.
