Celebrate Arbor Day early on Wednesday, April 17 at the Wareham Free Library. 

The Wareham Garden Club and the Wareham Land Trust will be bringing Massachusetts Horticulture’s Plantmobile to the library from 10 a.m. to noon to offer free programs for kids.

Children ages 3 to 5 can “Get Growing” at two 20 to 30 minutes programs offered at 10 and 10:30 a.m. with songs, stories, and encouragement to plant something.

Children ages 5 to 8 can learn about the processor planting seeds, what plants need to survive, and why people need plants in a 45 minute program called “What do plants need?” that will begin at 11 a.m.

The Wareham Land Trust will be giving away free redbud tree seedlings to each family. Fifty seedlings will be available— one per family. Instructions for planting the trees will be included.
