Bring out (hazardous) trash

The Town of Wareham is sponsoring a household hazardous products collection event on Saturday, Aug. 3 from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. It will take place at the Wareham Municipal Maintenance Building at 95 Charge Pond Road.
A valid transfer station sticker is required to participate. All residents must remain in their vehicles.
The town will accept: acids, aerosol cans, ammonia and bowl cleaners, bleach, brush cleaners, bug killers, degreasers, drain cleaners, fertilizers, fire extinguishers, flammable liquids or solvents, herbicides, household cleaners and paints, paint thinner, stains, varnishes, swimming pool chemicals, waxes, weed killer, batteries, anti-freeze, motor oil (with a 20-gallon limit), propane, spent gasoline and products containing mercury (thermometers, thermostats, float switches and the like).
The town will not accept: latex or acrylic paint, asbestos, radioactive materials, explosives, tires, mattresses, ammunition, flares, medical waste, sharps or syringes.
Electronics recycling will also be available. The town will accept TVs, monitors and CPUs. It will not accept microwaves, air conditioners, refrigerators or certain types of ER lights.
