WAREHAM – Albertina C. (Oliveira) Vieira, 95, of Onset, passed away on January 23, 2024 at the Royal of Fairhaven Nursing Center, Fairhaven.  She was the wife of the late Tony Paul Vieira and the daughter of the late Joao Silva Oliveira and Maria Conceicao  (Centeio) Oliveira. She was born in Cova Rodel, Brava, Cape Verde Islands and lived in Onset for most of her life.

Mrs. Vieira was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Onset. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, crocheting, having friends over for coffee, listening to Cape Verdean music and most of all spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, Loey Vieira of West Wareham and Yvonne Vieira - Cardoza of East Wareham. Mrs. Vieira had 9 grandchildren – Tyrone Cardoza (Jenna), Courtney Cardoza, Orlarndo Vieira, Nadine Lindsey, Jason Gracia, Jarrod Gracia, Anthony Vieira, Tiffany Harris and Roland Harris 1V. She had 14 great grandchildren – Caelyn Cardoza, Tyrone Cardoza Jr., Xavier Cardoza, Giovanni Vieira, Lucciano Vieira, Janae Janga, Javyn Harris, Jason Gracia Jr., Christian Gracia, Caden Gracia, Gianna Morse, Alexys Rose, Randi Rose and Amare Rose. She was also blessed with 5 great great grandchildren – Ezio Alexander Santana, Sylas Rose Whyte, Ariya Cardoza, Jaryd Cardoza and Iyanni Cardoza.

Mrs. Vieira was the mother of the late John Anthony Vieira and Maria Harris, and also sister of the late Abel Oliveira.

The family would like to thank the Royal of Fairhaven Nursing Staff and the Activities Director Shaila Rivera for the utmost care and compassion provided to Mrs. Vieira.

Visiting hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – WAREHAM, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham. A funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Onset. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Wareham.
