Franciscan Fraternity elects first officials in 25 years
Dec 1, 2024
The Franciscan Fraternity at Saint Patrick's Church was recognized by the Fall River Bishop earlier this year and recently elected their first officials.
Fall River Bishop Edgar Moreira da Cunha formally approved the fraternity in 2024 by but Mary Peabody, the newly elected minister of the fraternity, said they have been meeting for 25 years.
Peabody said the official recognition allows them to be more closely connected to other Franciscan Fraternities across the world.
The newly elected officials will serve a three year term and help guide people interested in becoming Franciscan.
