WAREHAM – Robert T. "Bob" Lynch (Ret. Boston FD), 81, of E. Wareham, died Saturday, November 2, 2024 at his home after a long illness. He was the husband of Nereida (Montanez) Lynch.

Born in Boston, he was the son of the late George and Sophie (Dzengelewski) Lynch. Bob moved to Wareham in 1974 and served as a firefighter for the Boston Fire Department. He was assigned to Engine 17 at the Meetinghouse Hill, Dorchester station.

Bob also served in the U.S. Navy from 1960 to 1964 as an aviation structural mechanic.

Survivors include his wife Nereida of E. Wareham; his sons, David Lynch of E. Wareham, Randal Lynch and his wife Deanna of Plymouth, and Robert Lynch, Jr. and his wife Katherine of Middleboro; his grandchildren, Jayson Lynch, Kristin Lynch, Lexus Sloan, Matthew Lynch, Jade Harrigan, Tommy Harrigan, and Randal Lynch, Jr.; his great grandchildren, Torryn Amado, Deliya Amado and Anthony Sloan.

Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave., Bourne, MA at 12:45 PM. Please arrive at the cemetery by 12:30 PM.
