WAREHAM – Donna M. (Gallagher) Tarrant, 79, of Wareham, passed away on July 10, 2024 at Tobey Hospital. She was the wife of the late Edward T. Tarrant and the daughter of the late John and Claire (Simoneau) Gallagher.

She was born in Medford and raised in Somerville. She moved to Wareham in 1972. She graduated from Cardinal Cushing Girls High School in South Boston and from Business School in Boston.

Mrs. Tarrant worked as an office manager for Sapphire Engineering in Pocasset for many years.

She enjoyed her family and friends and upon retirement she spent winters in Florida, visiting Honeymoon Island. She also enjoyed shopping, cooking for her family, going to the casino and playing the slot machines.

Survivors include her children, Donna Bartlett and her husband, Peter of East Wareham, Edward T. Tarrant, Jr. of East Wareham, and Holly Tarrant of Wareham; 5 grandchildren, Erik Bartlett and his wife Sandy of Boston, Shawn Bartlett and his wife Nicole of Cumberland, RI, Joshua Bartlett of East Wareham, Angelina Tarrant of East Wareham and Nico Tarrant of Plymouth; 4 great grandchildren, Owen, Keegan, Gracyn and Brooks Bartlett; and her beloved dog, Brownie. She was the sister of the late Jack Gallagher, Claire Johnson and Jeanne Parks.

Visiting hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, July 29, 2024 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – WAREHAM, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham.

Her funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at St. Patrick’s Church, 94 High St., Wareham.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
