Louise (Parker) Goodreau, 94

WAREHAM – Louise (Parker) Goodreau, 94, of Wareham, formerly of Hanover and Brockton died Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Tremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Wareham after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Theodore Goodreau.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Eleanor (Mansfield) and Leonard Parker. Louise was raised in Hanover and graduated from Hanover High School, Class of 1947. She was a previous resident of Brockton and moved to Wareham in 1979.

She attended secretarial school, was a secretary for Mammoth Mart department store and The Foxboro Company. Mrs. Goodreau enjoyed sewing, painting, and crafting, and wrote poetry.

She is survived by her children, Joyce Dowling and her husband Joseph of SC, Robert Fredrickson and his wife Charlene of Halifax, Steven Strang of Wareham, Laurie Strang of Wrentham, and Diane Lawrence of Taunton; her sister, Frances Scott and her husband Al of FL; 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings, the late Norma Gorrill and Robert Parker.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Chapman Funerals & Cremations, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham on Tues., Sept. 26th from 10 to 11 AM. A funeral service will follow at 11 AM. Interment will be in Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne.
