Wareham is among several towns and cities across Massachusetts to receive funding to improve its information and technology infrastructure. In total, the 52 grants amount to nearly $5 million dispersed across 68 local governments and school districts. 

Of that $5 million, Wareham will receive $100,000 to improve its records management system. 

Overall, the grants will go toward strengthening cybersecurity, wireless networks and updating websites to improve government efficiency, cut taxpayer money and make it easier for people to reach out to their local governments.
