Wareham Police: Man armed with knife made threats to commit a crime

Wareham Police responding to a disturbance on Jan. 14 arrested a 30-year-old man after he allegedly threatened another person with a knife.

Officers responded to disturbance, located on Camardo Drive, around 1:15 p.m. on Monday after having received calls that a man was threatening others with a gun. Police say no firearm was actually located at the scene.

However, one man was arrested by Officers Christopher Smith, Matthew Donovan and Calib Larue after he allegedly made threats to another person while armed with a knife.

The suspect, Ryson Joseph, is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and threats to commit a crime.

Joseph was taken to police headquarters for processing before being taken to Wareham District Court.
