Wareham High student receives Stephen A. Stone Memorial Scholarship

Jul 8, 2020

Ever Gordon, a junior at Wareham High School, has been named the recipient of the 2020 Stephen A. Stone Memorial Scholarship. She will receive $10,000 for her tuition freshman year at a four-year college or university, and will be eligible to receive $10,000 her sophomore, junior, and senior year if she maintains her academic achievements.

Gordon is described by her teachers as being a determined, goal-oriented, and focused student who consistently makes good use of her time, working diligently to pursue her academics. While maintaining a strong academic track record, Ever has taken the initiative to become an involved member of the Upward Bound program, a member of the volleyball team, and participates in DECA. Additionally, she maintains a part-time job working on average 20 hours per week.

This fall, Gordon will enter her senior year at Wareham High School with a dual enrollment at Bridgewater State University.

After graduation, she plans to study law at a Historically Black College or University.

Wareham High School and the Stone family wish Gordon all the best as she enters her senior year and continues to pursue her goals.
