The Wareham School Committee voted at its Sept. 30 meeting to raise the pay for bus monitors from minimum wage — $13.50 an hour — to $16 per hour.

The raise is intended to help the transportation department fill the bus monitor positions it currently has open, and follows a raise in pay for bus drivers this August.
