United Way of Greater New Bedford accepting grant applications, proposals from Wareham

The United Way of Greater New Bedford is now accepting grant proposals and applications from Wareham residents for two of its funding streams, “Community Impact” and “Summer Fund.” 

Wareham organizations and public entities interested in applying for funding through these grants will have until March 24 to submit a letter of intent.

The United Way of Greater New Bedford serves residents throughout the Southcoast with a primary focus on Acushnet, Dartmouth, Fairhaven, Freetown, Marion, Mattapoisett, New Bedford, Rochester and Wareham. 

In addition to funding local programs, the organization provides direct services and convenes partner organizations to target key community issues.

The Community Impact grant invites nonprofit organizations and public entities to apply for grants between $10,000 and $25,000 for operational support to continue, maintain, or expand already existing high quality programs and services. Community Impact applications will open April 1 and are due by April 21 at www.unitedwayofgnb.communityforce.com

The Summer Fund grant invites nonprofit organizations to apply for up to $5,000 to support summer programming through youth employment and camperships. Programs must operate between June and August and serve the youth. Summer Fund applications will open now and are due by April 5 at www.unitedwayofgnb.communityforce.com
