Both of Wareham High School’s state championship-winning basketball teams will face off in a special alumni game, hosted by Community Youth Empowerment Wareham, at the High School on Saturday, June 17. 

The match between the 2010 Vikings championship team and the 2023 Vikings championship team will be the finale of a series of games and events, celebrating the High School’s current and former basketball stars.

Doors will open at 3 p.m. An alumni girls game will take place at 3:30 p.m., and an alumni boys game will take place at 5 p.m.

The game between the two sets of state champions will take place at 6:30 p.m.

This year’s Vikings, who took home the trophy by beating the Springfield International Charter School Bulldogs 66-40 in March, will receive championship rings at the event.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.

Half of the proceeds from the event will go to the High School boys basketball program.
