Trinity Christian Church participates in Lenten Bible study series

A group of local churches is marking its 17th year of offering glimpese into how to keep a Holy Lent. 

This year, on Wednesday nights running from Feb. 21 through Mar. 20, they will hold sessions to study what the Scriptures have to say about the essential spiritual practices of the Christian faith. The churches will be looking at five of the Spiritual Disciplines of the Christian walk. 

Trinity Christian Church, 462 Main Street, will hold a session in this series on Wednesday, Mar. 20. Reverend Greg Baker will discuss the subject of Bible study and of taking spiritual guidance and understanding from God’s Word.

Soup is at 6 p.m. Worship is at 6:45 p.m. Study begins at 7 p.m.

The other sessions will take place on: Feb. 21, at the First Congregational Church of New Bedford, 2195 Acushnet Avenue, New Bedford; Feb. 28, East Freetown Congregational-Christian Church, 4 Washburn Road, East Freetown; Mar. 6, First Congregational Church of Fall River, 282 Rock Street, Fall River; and Mar. 13, United Church of Assonet, 9 North Main Street, Assonet.
