The environmental clean-up of the Tremont Nail Factory has begun, announced the Planning Office. The clean-up, which will last an estimated three weeks. While engineers complete the work, there will be an area fenced off for public safety because of materials and equipment. 

Elm Street will be open to pedestrians and cyclists and EcHO Elizabeth & Co. Home Offerings will be fully accessible. 

However, access to the river — including the kayak launch — from the factory side will be closed.
